I encourage you to join my weekly email list, so I can update you on new additions to my websites. I’ll only email you for cool updates like video lectures, chapters and interesting eye blog posts.
I don’t send many of these emails as they are a little expensive to send. I am using a legitimate opt-in mailing service and we are careful to avoid spam and unwanted inundations of mail. Your email is confirmed before you are added (double opt-in) and every email message has an unsubscribe link.
Our eye videos are very popular and we are frequently asked for a download link. Now you can directly download the entire “live lecture” collection to your phone or to your iPhone or iPad for offline viewing. Simply subscribe to our iTunes Podcast.
Future Podcasts are coming soon. This includes my “Eye Basics 101″ podcast and a couple of other variety shows about the eye. These are in production and should be up within the next two months.
Want to stay up-to-date with all our latest video and audio uploads? You can peruse our youtube channel and even subscribe. This is a great way to stay on top of ALL our activity. As you can see from our numbers, the video lectures are quite popular.
I appreciate all of you have susbscribed to the podcast. I’ve had about 110 thousand video lectures downloaded from the podcast, which is pretty astounding. I’m still working the kinks out on the email mailing list, so bear with me for now!

Hi Dr. Root, thanks for your passionate and great website to share and I have learned a lot from there. I have developed very strong interest in vision care 3 years ago and decided to pursue a Msc this year. Many people living in current world need basic eye care education to prevent myopia problem which is catastrophic for Asia races especially Chinese ethnic .

This is the first time on your website and it is very interesting. I have a diagnosis of Superior oblique Myokemia and have other symptoms like ringing in the ears, fullness and decreased hearing. When I chew gum the Superior oblique muscle really fires and it looks like I am in an earthquake. I feel weak as well as have numbness in the hands and feet that improve after taking Neurontin. The weather affects it and so do sinus infections. My pupil dilates and constricts when I look in the mirror. The MRI showed the closed head injury back in 1985. I have had this for over a year and did not have it immediately after the head injury. It is constant and I am looking for some answers because the doctors have never seen it but have only heard of it. My neurologist had never seen it before but knew exactly what it was. I take clonazepam and Neurontin and they help some but not totally. Do not like the medicines. Beginning to think it is something more serious.
